If you are sending us a custom file, we will need to assess it to see if time for artwork will be applied. The best format to send us is a Vector file in black and white. This will give us the cleanest and sharpest image. If you send us a BMP or JPG, we will need to rework it and that may cause some distortion that may or may not be correctable. All of this takes time and will add to the cost of engraving. Our preference would be a Vector, if at all possible. After that, BMP is better than JPG. This can save you money as well as give you the best possible outcome.
